Hello! It’s been a while. We are trying to (slowly) get back into the swing of blogging, and will attempt to post once a week with something fashion/beauty/lifestyle based that will hopefully be useful to you. As always, we will only ever talk about things we love, things we use, or things that help make our babes sleep for 12 hours at night!! Please feel free to email us or message us on Instagram with the posts you would like to see. First up, an alternative to denim. We are the same as you, we live in jeans as it just seems to be the easy option but we’ve been trying so hard to branch out and wear more dresses, loose fitting trousers and skirts, and they are surprisingly easy to wear. We officially made it 7 days denim free so far, and loads of you have been messaging us to say you’ve been joining in and doing same. We have SO many clothes in our wardrobe that we never wear for no reason other than it’s easier to reach for jeans. So lets begin with dresses. There are shapes/styles out there to suit everyone, most look great with sandals/ Converse, and it’s time saving to just throw on a dress in the morning, withouth having to worry about the rest of your outfit, when you are running around after small people with very little time to yourselves.
- Nipped in at the waist, breastfeeding friendly and long enough that you don’t need to tan/shave your legs; winner!! H&M Polka dot maxi
- Lilac is one of the only colours that suits all blondes and brunettes. This is a perfect length to be worn with trainers, and has a great length of sleeve if you are self conscious of your arms: H&M lilac floral
- A tea dress is a super flattering shape. Nips you in at the waist and skims over your hips. You can wear a bra and big knickers so all bases are covered! ASOS spot tea dress
- This is so pretty, simple and although a little pricey, it will last you for years. Only wear with nude knickers (NEVER WHITE!!) Monsoon white dress
- If you are looking for something a little smarter for work then this Victoria Beckham-esque dress is perfect. The shape is really flattering, the button down front will elongate your body, you can breastfeed in it and the colour is divine. Roll up the cuffs to show more skin: Warehouse orange dress
- Leopard is a print that will never go out of fashion, so it’s worth adding something like this to your wardrobe. It can be dressed up (with heels and a blazer for a wedding) or dressed down (with sandals) and the orange stripe will lengthen you: Marks and Spencer leopard dress
- Don’t save your fancy dresses for fancy occassions. Dress something like this down by layering it up with a plain white T shirt and some chunky boots, or a bandeau top and sandals in summer: Topshop spot dress (similar Topshop dress as sizes are sold out of the other)
- A little more pricey but this beautiful multitasking red dress can be dressed up or dress down for any occasions and any season. Wear it to a wedding with gold accessories and shoes, wear it in summer with sandals or in winter layered with a polo neck underneath. & Other Stories red dress
- It’s so hard to just always go for a safe black but try to mix it up with brights, especially in summer. Team this dress with red lipstick. Easy breastfeeding access also: Yellow River Island dress
- Throw a denim jacket on with this, the stripes will lengthen your body and the buttons give you easy boob access (should you need it!): ASOS linen stripe
