1: THE HAIR TONG: BABYLISS TITANIUM BRILLIANCE HAIR CURLER
A lot of people prefer using a tong with a clamp, rather than a wand, for more of a controlled curl. If this is you; these are a brilliant price and give a really cool looking curl. Leave the ends out for more of an undone feel. £28
2: THE MULTISTYLER: SHARK FLEXSTYLE
Hot on the heels of Dyson, the Shark FlexStyler sold out before Christmas. You get what you pay for; the barrel is shorter here meaning that it’s not so great for long hair (but those with shorter lengths will be fine), it’s less ergonomic and the waves don’t last quite as long – but it’s almost £200 cheaper. £300
3: THE CRIMPER: 3 BARREL HAIR CURLER
Yes, you read that right. Crimping is coming back into fashion. But not as we know it. Forget the 80’s style, modern-day crimpers have wider plates meaning it gives more of a mermaid finish, like Sydney Sweeney in White Lotus. £19.99
4: THE HAIR STRAIGHTENER: GHD MAX
The OG. You just know with GHD that you’re getting quality. We swear by this styler, with the extra large plates (70% larger than the average) for sleek, smooth hair in double quick time. They heat up within 30 second and automatically switch off after 30 minutes of non-use. £165
5: THE HAIRDRYER UNDER £100: PARLUX PROFESSIONAL 2800
A firm-favourite in the hairdressing industry; Parlux are built to last. Heavier than the Hershesons dryer, for sure, but it also packs a punch in terms of quick dry appeal. £99
6: THE PRO HAIR DRYER: HERSHESONS GREAT HAIRDRYER
Lighter, faster and better than any hairdryer we’ve ever used. It weighs the same as a can of coke & dries hair 30% faster than anything else, making it the perfect travel companion. It comes complete with three different drying attachments, depending on the finish you want. Looks pretty chic too. £295
7: THE HAIR WAND: BEAUTY WORKS FLAT IRON CURL BAR
Whenever you see us with our hair wavy, it’s highly likely that we’ve used this. The flattened shape gives those really tousled, beachy waves that we both prefer. It comes in two sizes; I use the chunkier, shorter size for my midlength hair, and Gemma uses the longer, narrower size for her very long hair. £54.99
8: THE ULTIMATE TOOL: DYSON AIRWRAP COMPLETE MULTI-STYLER
I think we can all safely say that if you’re looking for the best multi-styler around, the OG is the one. It dries, it waves, it curls, it delivers a big bouncy blowdry, it even smoothes and sleekens hair now thanks to the new attachment. A hefty investment, but when you consider it does EVERYTHING, it can be justified. £479
