Tween boys are one of the hardest to buy for but I think I’ve nailed quite a good cross selection here for boys aged 6-13.
I’ve bought pretty much everything on here for my two this Christmas (and the bits that I haven’t are things that they already own and love) so I hope you find these genuine product selections helpful…
The North Face Jacket: I absolutely love this jacket I bought for Leo last Christmas and will devastated when it no longer fits him (lucky I have Alfie) I love the way it fits, I love the way it looks but as it’s not all about me, luckily Leo does too – and he’s reached the age where he’s super fussy about what he wears. It’s pricey but it lasts, and even better if you can pass it down. Size up so it lasts.£250.
FC25: If you have football obsessed kids, you’ll know. FC25 needs no explanation. If Santa brings this, it’ll be a good day. £44.99.
and 10: Nike Refuel Bottle: I have finally found it. The water bottle that doesn’t leak. Not only it this the easiest thing to wash (no flip cap, no straw that comes loose) it has been designed not to leak – even if it’s held upside down. It’s currently 241 so you know what my kids will find in their stockings. Available in blue. black, grey, pink and transparent. £11.99.
Guess Who – World Football Stars: I bought this for my kids last Christmas and since then it’s become my go-to birthday present to buy. I have zero idea who anyone is so sadly can’t get involved (such a shame) but they love it. £16.99.
Avocado Smash: If you are a family who love to play Uno, you will love this. We all love it – from the kids to grandparents – beware: it becomes addictive fun. £11.99.
Dolphin Bath Pearls: Obsessed! These instantly transported me back to the 90’s. £5.99.
Thermal Football Gloves: I have learnt many things since becoming a football mom, but one of those is that kids need specific gloves when playing in the dark and cold. Their ‘soft knit ‘skins’ like material keeps them warm while the silicone grips on the fingertips will help grip, adding some oomph to their throw-ins. £14.
YOTO Mini: This is one of the most recommended gifts in my class whatsapp, and it just grows with them. From Enid Blyton books to National Geographic through the the Ultimate Football Hero cards, there’s something for all ages. I come up most nights to find my kids spark out with their Yoto’s still playing. Once you have invested, the additional cards make great birthday gifts. £69.99.
Star Face Hydro Stars Spot Stickers: Spots are a fact of life, and rather than hide away under layers of mis-matching concealer that does nothing but make them worse, I love that the new gen of teens are embracing skincare. Star Face is one of the fastest growing US beauty brands, now available over here and the pimple patches are beloved by tweens of all genders. They shield spots from outside bacteria, which helps them heal faster while hydrocolloid is clinically proven to improve the appearance of pimples overnight: It helps draw out pimple juice, improve redness, and calm inflammation. £11.99.
Hi Smile Toothpaste: A toothpaste that makes kids actually want to brush their teeth? Sign me up. Leo spends the dream 2 minutes on his since discovering this (my kids hate the minty taste of toothpastes) as it makes it so much more fun. From Watermelon to Peach, Mango, Blue Raspberry and Cotton Candy – the perfect stocking filler. £4.48.
Personalised Kids Onesie: My kids love a onesie – whether it’s for a weekend movie night, an after sports warm-up moment or for lounging around the house, you can’t go wrong. I have learnt that a hood is essential, and I love that this one can be personalised making it a bit more special. It comes in a few different colours, cute to match with siblings and cousins too. £28.
Uniqlo Puffer Tech Washable Vest: For those days when they insist that it isn’t cold enough for a coat, I find I can alway persuade them into wearing these gilets. They look super cool too. Machine washable, water-repellant and come in 4 colours. £19.90.
