Six weeks into a six month🤞🏻job, and this is where we are 👷🏻‍♀️🧱🛠️🪜 Granted, it might not look like much, we don’t have a back wall, a roof or any floorboards but this is EXCITING. The rooms are taking shape and we have started to order some things like flooring, taps and sinks.

We were totally burnt by the builders who did our last house - truly awful experience - and really didn’t want to do a reno job, but this time it’s a totally different experience. We had six companies quote and went with @cg_contractorsltd. The entire team are so lovely, kind, considerate, neat and tidy. They stop traffic to see me out the driveway in the morning, take my post in and explain everything to me, multiple times, making sure I understand (like the time the steel they needed to remove was 5x the size they expected it to be) so far, they’re perfectionists. And they’re always happy to smile for my videos 🤳🏻

Right now, the sudden drop in temperature isn’t being kind to us 🥶 I’m wearing two coats inside, but I just keep picturing next summer when it’s all finished 🙏🏻 I repeat “it’ll all be worth it” 800x a day in my head.

Any tips for seeing through the winter with no roof or walls?!
