When you have amazing looking hair, you could turn up wearing avocado smeared jogging bottoms and no one would notice. Trust me. I went to work the other day with really great hair (I’d booked an 8am blowdry because I was knackered and in my mind great hair = I feel better) and at least six people in the office commented on how great I looked when I was probably the most tired I’d ever been. No one noticed the banana smooshed on my sleeve from earlier that morning. That’s because if your hair looks good it creates the illusion of having everything under control. Sneaky.
But the question here is; if we can’t book a pre-work blowdry 3x a week then how can fake our way to great hair? And quickly, because whether you’re a working mama, a new mama or not a mama at all but just looking for some quick-fix tips, we’re ALL on a daily morning deadline.
We hosted a ‘speedy styling tips and beauty tricks’ masterclass last month at the GHD studios in London. Tickets were limited but the mama’s who attended learnt so much that we thought we should film a little video to pass the tips onto those of you who couldn’t attend. So here it is, your three easy steps to perfectly tonged, Victorias Secret-esque hair…
And the best bit is, this is the kind of hair that gets better the more lived in it is. Tong it the night before, go to sleep and in the morning just spritz in a little texturising spray, comb through with your fingers and head out the door…
OUR GREAT HAIR KIT:

2. Philip KingsleyOne More Day Dry Shampoo:No time to wash your hair? No worries. A couple of spritzs of this invisible formula into the roots does the job in seconds. No giveaway white chalky residue.
3.Color Wow Speed Blowdry Spray(low on stock so also availablehere): This REALLY works. It’s heat activated and cut my blowdrying time in half. No wonder it keeps selling out.
