If you are going to invest, here are 4 tips to lengthen the lifespan of your swimwear
- Don’t ever leave them to dry in direct sunglight, this will fade the fabric, which can then make it go see-through.
- Leave the swimwear to soak in cold water for 30 minutes after wearing. This removes the bacteria, chlorine and oils that can cause the fabric to fade, elasticity to loosen and fibres to break down. This is a great start, but if you can also give it a quick rinse with a mild detergent, a little dollop or even some distilled white vinegar.
- Never wring it out, just gently squeeze off excess water.
- Don’t ever wear your best in a hot tub – the chemicals & heat will damage it.
